You've put in the hard work during the week, now it's time for some fun and excitement!!
Beginning in June, the Otter's put on their competitive suits, caps and goggles and head to the Region E swim meets. The swim meets run on Saturdays, with some meets holding extra events on Friday evenings. We strongly encourage all our swimmers to attend as many meets as possible. This is truly where the fun starts, and not just in the pool. It's exciting for the swimmers to witness their positive gains from all their hard work during the week. It's also a lot of fun in-between heats for Otters to hang with fellow teamates and swimmers from other clubs (and possibly even parents too). Swim meets are our games, much like in other sports such as soccer or hockey, and swim meets are a lot of fun. In our club, everyone gets to play, all they have to do is show up!
Each week the club roster will be posted on the bulletin board next to the viewing area at the pool and all swimmers (or swimmer's parents) are required to indicate whether or not they will be attending the upcoming swim meet. Swimmers/parents are required to fill out the roster sheet prior to the end of the Wednesday swim practice so that their names can be input into ASSA's system on time.
